As the 2nd week of lockdown comes to a close, how is everyone coping? Hopefully you are staying well, making the most of some family time and enjoying your daily exercise.
Find a New Goal or Angle
The purpose of this newsletter is not only to help with my sanity by commenting on current events and giving me a target for the week, but also to create a platform for sharing information which I hope you might find useful or thought provoking. Having more time in the office means finding a new way of connecting with clients and other industry folk.
The last thing we, here at Blink, want to do is to tell you how to run your practice from a clinical perspective – so we won’t be doing that. You have plenty of outlets for clinical information. We might point you in the direction of clinical information relevant to the current crisis if we think it usefull, hence the “Stay Safe” links below.
What we can do is to offer advice on IT solutions and eMarketing methods – to prepare your practice for when normality returns. For when you no longer have time to think about something other than the needs of your patients.
So look out for thoughts on staying connected to your patients, for informing your community of your availability and for improving your ability to attract new patients in the future.
Optrafair 2020
So, this weekend should have been Optrafair 2020. A chance for the Optical world to meet, catch up and celebrate the work that we do.
Businesses like Blink were scheduled to be there, to promote our services and to hopefully make new friends and expand our client base. But instead, many of us are either; running practices on skeleton staff for emergencies only, working from home, or being furloughed. I’m not sure which is the best (or worst) option but basically we just need to get on with it and do our bit.
It seems that the current trend is to hold “Video Meetings” on Zoom, or “Virtual Gatherings” on Skype, and even drinks nights at the “iBar”. So we thought that we’d have a virtual Optrafair promotion. Visit our stand by clicking here, or arrange a telephone or video meeting with us by emailing terry@blinkoms.co.uk. If you’d like to know what special offers we have for new Optrafair customers, please get in touch.
